Laois Injury Clinic

Physical therapy & Sports Injury Clinic

Bolger White Egan and Flanagan Solicitors Premises

The Laois Injury Clinic was founded in June 2001. There are two full time therapists running the clinic, Bernard Conroy and Emily Hayden.

We at the clinic aim to provide effective treatment and intervention for sports and work related injuries alike. Our treatment sessions consist of a thorough history taking, followed by a full assessment and treatment. The treatment sessions consist of manual therapy, stretching, electrotherapy modalities and more. There is also a strong emphasis on rehabilitation after injury in order to prevent reoccurrence.

We are proud to announce the latest addition to the clinic, TOG Gaitscan. This is the most technologically advanced gait analysis system available to date. It allows us to assess any problem areas in a patient’s gait cycle (the way they walk) and prescribe custom made orthotic devices (shoe inserts). It is important to remember that the feet have a direct impact on the rest of the body and support you with each step. Imagine that 25% of the bones in the body are in the feet! . An imbalance in the foot can place unnecessary stress on other areas of the body, including the neck, back, hips, knees, ankles and feet. This can lead to pain and stiffness.

Orthotic devices can help to alleviate many of these symptoms. The devices we prescribe fit into a patient’s everyday shoe and can also be used in runners and football boots.
